This updater package brings Bungie's 1993 first-person dungeon crawler Pathways into Darkness up from version 1.1 to version 2.0, covering both 68k and PowerPC builds. The bundle, distributed via Macintosh Garden as Pathways_-_2.0.sit, also includes the rare 1.0 to 1.1 step and the matching shapes file update.

The archive carries every official update needed to take an early retail copy of Pathways into Darkness through to its final 2.0 release, including engine fixes, the shapes 1.x to 2.0 art conversion, and the elusive 1.0 to 1.1 increment.
About Pathways into Darkness
Pathways into Darkness was Bungie's atmospheric pre-Marathon FPS-RPG, set in a Yucatan pyramid where the player descends through ten levels to stop a sleeping god. It blends real-time shooting with inventory, dialogue with the dead, and timed puzzle solving.
Compatibility
The updater runs on System 6.x through Mac OS 9 and is intended to be applied to an existing Pathways into Darkness installation rather than launched on its own.
Use and preservation
Macintosh Garden hosts the patch as a preservation download for users restoring legacy copies of the game on period hardware or in emulators such as SheepShaver and Mini vMac.
