Ult. 3 Character Editor 1.1.2 is a freeware utility by Michael Trent for tweaking saved characters in the Macintosh remake of Ultima III: Exodus. Posted to Info-Mac in May 1996, it lets players nudge stats upward or, in the author's words, turn their party into PURE GODS. Version 1.1.2 adds Balloon Help and cleans up dialog updating.
What it edits
The editor opens an Ultima III saved party file and exposes character attributes for direct modification, intended as a companion tool to Leon McNeill's 1995 Mac remake of the 1983 Origin Systems classic.
Version 1.1.2 changes
The May 1996 release notes list four refinements: removal of an unnecessary Low-Memory global reference, extensive Balloon Help additions, intelligent dimming of the Save button, and improved dialog redraw behaviour.
Licensing
Distributed as freeware. The author explicitly authorised inclusion on Info-Mac archive CD-ROMs, which is how the package propagated to mirrors like Macintosh Garden.
Context
Macintosh Garden lists this editor as one of several add-on tools alongside the Ultima III remake itself, a portraits patch, and a separate scenario editor.
