Ms Illusion Of Bonzo is an add-on level set for Monkey Shines, the side-scrolling Macintosh platformer in which players guide Bonzo the monkey through a series of mazes collecting keys and bananas. This expansion supplies an additional world of hand-built rooms for use with the original Monkey Shines engine.
About add-on worlds
Monkey Shines was designed to load external level files, and its community produced a steady stream of add-on worlds throughout the 1990s. Ms Illusion Of Bonzo is one such fan-made world, requiring an installed copy of the base game to play.
Gameplay
As with the parent title, players run, jump and climb through interconnected rooms, dodging hazards and enemies while collecting keys to open the exit. The add-on substitutes its own room layouts and challenges for the originals.
Requirements
A working installation of Monkey Shines is required; system requirements otherwise mirror those of the host game on Classic Mac OS.
