Weezilkard 1.0 is a self-described "za-zen kard game for the masses" by Joe Flores, released through Uglibug Software and distributed via the Info-Mac Archive in the late 1990s. The author's instructions are characteristically brief: "play. meditate. play some more."
Concept
Weezilkard frames card play as a small contemplative ritual rather than a competitive contest, a deliberately minimal, meditative diversion in the tradition of Mac shareware oddities of the late 1990s.
Author and Label
The game was written by Joe Flores and released under the Uglibug Software banner (uglibug@altavista.com), fitting the era's pattern of solo developers shipping quirky one-off Mac titles to Info-Mac.
System Requirements
Weezilkard requires Color QuickDraw, 5 MB of RAM, and System 7. It was distributed as a BinHex-encoded archive in the Info-Mac game/crd (cards) directory.
This file is part of the MacTrove archive. See the Thank You page for the upstream mirrors we rely on. It is BinHex encoded — use The Unarchiver to decode it.
