Paragon Poker Suite 3.1 is a complete suite of popular poker games for the Macintosh, bundling 5 Card Draw, Texas Hold 'Em and 7 Card Stud in a single package. Released by Nick Trout's QED Online, it aimed at filling a gap in the Mac poker market, which at the time was dominated by video poker titles.
Multiple game variants
Players can move between draw and stud variants without leaving the suite, with the same interface and table presentation across all three games.
Built-in poker calculator
The suite includes a high-speed poker calculator that produces odds and statistics on any starting hand across up to a million simulated deals, with up to six players at the table.
Player speech and sound effects
Sampled player speech and sound effects accompany play, giving the AI opponents a more lively presence than the silent grids common to early Mac card software.
System requirements
Paragon Poker Suite requires System 7 or later, a minimum 600x800 color display and at least 2 MB of RAM, placing it firmly in the late-90s color Mac era.
