Golf 1.0 is a small monochrome stick-figure golf game for the Classic Mac OS, contributed to Info-Mac by Cathy Dozier. The author cheerfully concedes it is not perfect but recommends it as good fun, an unpretentious shareware diversion in the tradition of single-evening Mac hobby projects.
Gameplay
Players take stick-figure swings on a black-and-white course, choosing club and aim with the mouse in the streamlined style typical of compact Mac sports shareware from the System 7 / Mac OS 8 era.
Compatibility
The release is packaged as a fat binary supporting both 68k and PowerPC Macintoshes, so it runs natively on the entire Classic Mac line that Info-Mac targeted.
Distribution
Golf 1.0 reached users as golf-10.hqx through Info-Mac, the volunteer mirror network that distributed Mac shareware across the FTP era.
Preservation Note
