Card Shell Volume 1 is a collection of color card games for the Macintosh by Ralph S. Sutherland of the Joint Institute for Laboratory Astrophysics at the University of Colorado, Boulder. Version 1.01, posted to the Info-Mac archives in August 1993, is a maintenance release that fixes a startup crash on accelerated 68000 machines without Color QuickDraw.

v1.01 fix
The 1.01 release addresses a case where the games would crash at startup on an accelerated 68000 Mac that lacked Color QuickDraw. The intended behavior is for the games to quit gracefully on any machine without Color QD.
Upgrading
The author notes that users with working copies of the previous version do not strictly need to download 1.01, but anyone planning to redistribute the games further should use this fixed build.
