Five Of A Kind is a Macintosh poker game submitted to the Info-Mac archive in March 1995 by Marko Horvatic, a contributor writing from the cromath / math.hr domain in Croatia. The package was uploaded as a re-submission to the Info-Mac SUMEX-AIM mirror network and travelled from there into the funet international mirror tree.
About the program
The accompanying note in the BinHex envelope is brief: the author identifies the title as his "5_of_a_kind poker game" and asks the moderators to accept it as a fresh upload. No gameplay manual, screenshots, or version number are included in the submission text itself.
Author and origin
Marko Horvatic submitted the game from the mhzujo@math.hr address, with cromath@math.hr given as a follow-up contact. The math.hr domain corresponds to the Department of Mathematics at the University of Zagreb, placing the title within the small but active mid-1990s Croatian Mac shareware scene.
Distribution
The file was distributed as a BinHex 4.0 (.hqx) Info-Mac submission and propagated via the standard SUMEX-AIM and funet mirrors of the era. This archive holds the BinHex package as it was originally posted; no separate Info-Mac digest abstract or Macintosh Garden listing has been located for this title.
Provenance
All descriptive details above are taken from the message header of five-of-a-kind.hqx as preserved in the Info-Mac mirror. No Macintosh Garden or MobyGames entry was found, so no further metadata, gameplay description, or imagery has been added.
