CrazyEights is a Macintosh implementation of the classic shedding card game by Dawn MacLaughlin. The player competes against the computer to be the first to discard every card in hand; any player still holding cards when an opponent goes out is penalized points for each, and the match ends when a player's score crosses the configured limit.
Players and options
The game supports two to four players, with one to three computer opponents filling the remaining seats. A range of options lets you tailor both the rules of play and the appearance of the table to your taste.
Convenience features
CrazyEights can save and load games in progress, includes on-line help with a description of the rules, and tracks your win percentage across sessions so you can measure long-term progress.
Recent changes
Version 2.1.2 brings performance enhancements; the 2.1.x line also added font controls for messages, configurable mouse-click handling between turns, and persistence of the main window's size and position between sessions.
