Trainspotters Puzzle 2.5 by Tore M. Erdem is a fitword crossword generator and solver for classic Macs. It builds fitword puzzles from any chosen word source (a text file, or computer-generated 'license plates') and lets you solve them on screen, print them through SimpleText, or, with registration, design traditional crosswords.
What is a fitword puzzle
A crossword variant in which all the solution words are given up front and the player's task is to fit each word into the correct slot in the grid. Trainspotters also adds a solitaire fitword variant introduced in 2.5.
Features
Generates puzzles from arbitrary word lists, on-screen solving with adjustable window and font size, SimpleText printing, and registered-user access to complete solutions plus a traditional crossword design mode.
Compatibility
Fat binary that runs natively on PowerPC and 68K Macintoshes. Requires System 7 or later.
