About

SnoGlobe-o-Matic 0.1 is a tiny piece of Floppyware by Charles Mangin (option8@mindspring.com) and part of his Spiff-o-Matic line. The author bills it as the simplest and most profound entry in the series, a 100% emulation of the SnoGlobe experience packed into a small Macintosh download. As the read-me concludes: it's a SnoGlobe, get over it.

What it is

A novelty desktop toy: an on-screen snow globe you can shake. The author frames it tongue-in-cheek as the purest example of nonphysical human-computer interaction, capturing the essence of the physical SnoGlobe in software form.

Spiff-o-Matic line

SnoGlobe-o-Matic belongs to Charles Mangin's Spiff-o-Matic series, a collection of small, deliberately frivolous Mac utilities and toys distributed as Floppyware on his option8.com / mentalhygiene.com sites.

Author

Charles Mangin signs himself terminal geek and mental hygienist, reachable at option8@mindspring.com and charles@burneydesign.com. He maintained option8.com and mentalhygiene.com as homes for his Mac toys.
