ProcessWatcher provides a very easy way of monitoring the processes running on your computer or a remote computer running MacOS, including "background-only" applications. ProcessWatcher can display two kind of windows: processes lists and process information. Processes list windows display a list of all the running processes (even processes wihtout a user interface); process information window give information such as the Process Serial Number, the active time, the launch flags. ProcessWatcher can also connect to a remote ProcessWatcher application (either ProcessWatcher or PWd, the ProcessWatcher background only daemon application) to monitor the processes running on another machine of the network. Using ProcessWatcher you can also kill the running processes, launch new processes, and send Open AppleEvents to running processes, easily bring an application to the front... It has some support for scripting so you can open your remote connections automatically. Version 3.1 is MacOS 8 appearence compliant. Version 3.2 fixes bugs and adds contextual menus. ProcessWatcher is freeware. Requirements: Mac 68K or Power Mac PPC, System 7 or better. ProcessWatcher takes 290K in memory and 133K on disk.
