Vier Gewinnt is a German-language Classic Mac implementation of Connect Four, the vertical four-in-a-row game where two players drop colored discs into a seven-column grid and race to line up four of their own pieces horizontally, vertically, or diagonally before their opponent.
Gameplay
Standard Connect Four rules: pick a column, gravity drops your disc to the lowest empty slot, and the first player to align four discs in any direction wins. A full board with no four-in-a-row ends in a draw.
German Localization
The interface, menus, and prompts are presented in German under the original German name for the game (literally, four wins), reflecting its release for German-speaking Mac users.
Single-Mac Play
A small shareware-era diversion typical of the System 7 / Mac OS 8 period, when one-window board-game ports were a staple of the Macintosh download scene.
