1 Getting Started With the QuickTake 200 Camera The QuickTake 200 is an easy-to-use digital camera that produces high- quality images you can quickly transfer to your Macintosh Operating System (Mac OS)–based computer.  QuickTime System Extension The QuickTime system software extension adds capabilities that let your application programs integrate graphics, sound, video, and animation into documents. By providing a standard way for all Macintosh programs to control these multimedia elements, QuickTime increases their compatibility and makes them easier to use. The QuickTime extension manages ■ how programs let you view, control, and edit QuickTime movie files (a QuickTime movie can include any combination of video, animation, and sound) ■ how programs control the compression of movies and still images (compression reduces the amount of space needed to store a file - an important feature of multimedia software) ■ how programs control hardware that interacts with QuickTime (for example, an expansion card for capturing input from a video camera) ©Apple Computer, Inc., 1992 Apple, the Apple logo, and Macintosh are trademarks of Apple Computer, Inc., registered in the U.S. and other countries. This Scrapbook is otherwise identical to the standard Macintosh Scrapbook. When you install it, you won't lose the contents of your existing Scrapbook file. System requirements To use QuickTime with System 7.1, your computer should have at least 4 megabytes of memory. The QuickTime extension works on any Macintosh computer having a 68020, 68030, or 68040 central processor and a hard disk.
