Wenn das Symbol „100 Schlüsselereignisse" nicht im Fenster des Ordners „QuickMove Découverte" erscheint, wählen Sie die Option „Nach Name" im Menü „Darstellung" (Betriebssystem 7.x) bzw. die Option „Nach Liste" im Menü „Darstellung" (Betriebssystem 8.x). ----------------------------------------------------------- Das Programm merkt sich Ihre Tätigkeiten während Ihres Besuchs. Um Ihre Abfrage zu speichern, bittet Sie das Programm beim Start der Anwendung daher um Ihren Namen. ----------------------------------------------------------- Fehlerbehebung: Nachfolgend erscheint eine Liste der Fehlermeldungen und möglichen Probleme sowie die entsprechenden Lösungsmöglichkeiten. Speicherprobleme * Nicht ausreichend Speicher, um „100 Schlüsselereignisse" zu öffnen. Um korrekt zu laufen, erfordert „100 Schlüsselereignisse" mindestens 16 MB freien Speicher. Wenn die o.g. oder eine ähnliche Meldung erscheint, haben Sie mehrere Möglichkeiten, um Speicherplatz freizumachen: 1. Prüfen Sie, ob Ihr Rechner ausreichend Arbeitsspeicher besitzt. Öffnen Sie dazu vom Finder aus das Fenster „Über diesen Computer..." im Apfelmenü. Der gesamte Speicher muß mindestens 16 MB (16384 KB) und der freie Speicher 8 MB (8192 KB) betragen. 2. Wenn der freie Speicher unter diesem Wert liegt, sind eventuell andere Anwendungen geöffnet, die Speicherplatz belegen. Diese müßten am Fuß des Fensters „Über diesen Computer..." erscheinen (dort müßten insbesondere die Systemsoftware und das Programm SimpleText erscheinen, mit dem Sie den vorliegenden Text lesen). Öffnen Sie diese Anwendungen aus dem Menü „Anwendungen" auf der rechten Bildschirmseite aus, und schließen Sie sie. 3. Deaktivieren Sie AppleTalk im Auswahlprogramm des Apfelmenüs. Das Netzwerk belegt selbst im inaktiven Zustand Arbeitsspeicher und verlangsamt die anderen Anwendungen. 4. Prüfen Sie die Speicherkonfiguration Ihres Rechners über Kontrollfelder, das Feld „Speicher", das Sie im Apfelmenü öffnen. Liebe Freundinnen und Freunde der Schäfchenkarten! Einen herzlichen Glückwunsch erst einmal zu dem Kauf dieser phantastischen CD! Eine Riesenmenge Daten, das Ergebnis mehrerer Monate meiner Arbeit haben Sie für ein paar Mark (oder Euro) erstanden. Das war schlau! Hier ein paar Fakten zu den Dateien auf dieser CD-ROM: Alle Bilder liegen im TIFF-Format vor. Das ist das im Profibereich meistverwendete Grafikformat, es funktioniert auf Mac, Windows, DOS, NT und überhaupt überall. Die Farbtiefe (das ist die Anzahl der unterschiedlichen verwendeten Farbtöne) beträgt 24 Bit, also „Millionen Farben“ oder „true color“. Wer will, kann sich von seinem Grafikprogramm die Bilder in 8 Bit herunterrechnen lassen. Dann schrumpfen die Dateien auf ein Drittel der ursprünglichen Größe, aber die vielen Farbverläufe bekommen häßliche Stufen. Wenn es irgend geht, drucken Sie deshalb bitte mit voller Farbtiefe – auch wenn’s ein bißchen länger dauert. Manche Farbdrucker verursachen bei großen Farbverläufen auch bei true color noch sichtbare Übergänge innerhalb eines Farbverlaufs. Das ist in der Technik der Tintenstrahldrucker begründet und läßt sich nicht vermeiden. Ich habe mich, soweit es ging, bemüht, die Motive so zu gestalten, daß der Effekt aber nicht zu störend in Erscheinung tritt. Zur Größe: Jedes Bild gibt es in hochauflösender Form (300 dpi, im Verzeichnis /300dpi), wobei die typische Dateigröße 6,5 Megabyte beträgt. Das kann auf einem älteren PC und einem langsamen Drucker schon mal ein paar Minuten dauern, bis so eine Datei geladen, verarbeitet, an den Drucker gesendet und schließlich ausgedruckt ist. Aber es lohnt sich; 300 dpi ist die klassische Auslösung für Farbbilder im Profibereich. Auch wenn Ihr Drucker eine höhere Auflösung schaffen würde – der Unterschied macht sich in der Druckqualität kaum noch bemerkbar, dafür würde alles aber noch viel länger dauern. Die 300dpi-Bilder sind LZW-komprimiert (denn unkomprimiert hätten sie nicht auf die CD-ROM gepaßt). LZW ist eine absolut verlustfreie Komprimierung, weil sie nur Pixel gleicher Farbe zusammenfaßt. Je nach Motiv sind die Dateien dadurch zwischen knapp 300 Kilobyte und fast 6 Megabyte groß. Je mehr gleichfarbige Flächen vorkommen, um so kleiner ist die komprimierte Datei. In vielen Fällen genügt aber auch eine Auflösung von 150 dpi. Deshalb habe ich alle Dateien umgerechnet auf diese Auflösung (im Verzeichnis /150dpi), typische Dateigröße 1,5 Megabyte. Also Vorsicht: Auf der CD existieren alle Dateinamen doppelt, und nur an der Dateigröße kann man sie unterscheiden. Ich habe für die 150dpi-Versionen unkomprimiertes TIFF gewählt, weil es beim Entpacken LZW-komprimierter Daten in seltenen Fällen Schwierigkeiten geben kann. Das Idealformat für die 300 dpi-Bilder beträgt 1240x1740 Pixel, das für die 150 dpi-Version 620x868 Pixel. Im Einzelfall kann es leicht variieren, weil das Seitenverhältnis der Karten kleinen Schwankungen unterworfen ist. Die Bilder sind aber immer so berechnet, daß genügend „Fleisch…
