Using the GD&T Font with o LoserWriter The Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing font, (GD&T) included with the Claris CAD 2.0 application, allows you to specify geometric characteristics and other dimensional requirements on engineering drawings. To use the GD&T font with a LaserWriter: 1. Insert the Claris CAD Help disk (backup) into a disk drive. 2. Select the uaariCADFon" and the uclariCADFonll" icons and drag them into the System Folder on your hard disk. • Note to System 7 users: The following alert box appears after you place the "ClariCADFon" and the "ClariCADFon II" icons in the System Folder: Figure 1 Extensions alert box EHtensions need to be stored In the EHtensions folder in order to be 11u11il11ble to the Mnclntosh. Due to a problem in FileMaker II, some FileMaker II files may have been inadvertently corrupted during normal use. This problem may not be noticed immediately in FileMaker II. FileMaker Pro has been corrected and this problem will not happen again, however, FileMaker II files that may have already been corrupted will not operate correctly in FileMaker Pro and may cause data loss. In order to prevent the corruption in FileMaker II files getting into FileMaker Pro it is strongly recommended that you follow the instructions below, in the correct sequence: 1. Using FileMaker II, save a compressed copy (an option under the “Save A Copy As...” command) of your FileMaker II file. 2. Convert the compressed copy of the FM II file to FileMaker Pro. (Launch FileMaker Pro, then select the compressed file to be converted.) Following these steps will help prevent any problems.
