Brief Instructions For Silver Hammer Overview SilverHammer is an alpha version of a field mapping program for point charges. The fields are relativistically accurate. The fields are calculated from the Liénard-Wiechert potentials for point charged particles. Charges are entered in the "Charges" window. The region surrounded by the black border is the region that the graphs will map. Graphs are created in the "Graph" Window. Think of the two windows as two separate construction zones. The charge distribution is laid out in the "Charges" window, and the graphs of the fields are created and manipulated in the "Graph" window. In the graph window you can overlay graphs, compare graphs and order frames for a QuickTime movie. All color graphs are drawn off-screen so the redrawing of the screen is extremely fast. Color & Memory: The alpha version has the colors hard coded so that you cannot change them. Future versions will implement a color manager that will allow you assign colors to the graphs. The bitmaps are full 24-bit QuickDraw pix maps, and they require large amounts of memory. If you have Color QuickDraw installed in system 6.0.8 or have system 7 installed, you can greatly reduce the memory requirements by setting your monitor to black and white (1-bit graphics) in the monitors control panel. SilverHammer will then only generate bit-maps that are 1-bit deep. This saves both the RAM memory required to display the pictures and the disk space required by saved files. A bug exists in some of the drawing routines (fieldlines) in which the picture is drawn all black if your monitor setting exceeds 256 colors. The Charges Window Coordinate System: Distance is measured in screen pixels, so the speed of light is given in pixels per time click. The coordinate system follows the Macintosh convention: The origin is at the upper left corner of the black bordered region. x increases to the right and y increases down the screen. The Black Border: The black border represents the graph region. When any graphs are produced in the graph window, they will graph the fields over the region within the black border. Charged particles, however, are not constrained to the black region and may travel beyond the borders. When this happens, the graph region will automatically add a page to accommodate the new region. The default size of the black border region is one printed 8(1/2)" by 11" page. Orientation of Page: The orientation of the page can be changed in the "Page Set-Up" choice under the "File Menu". The choice is portrait or landscape orientations. Tool Palette: Along the left hand side is a palette of four tools, arrow, charge, velocity , and acceleration . The arrow tool is used to select, move, and edit charges. The charge tool is used to create charges by selecting the tool and then click-dragging to make the new charge. Click-dragging to the left will create a positive charge, while click-dragging to the left will create a negative charge. The sig…

Zwiększenie pamięci do 3 MB polepsza szybkość działania słownika. A …

INTELLIVISION™ FOR MAC VOLUME 1 The classic video game system of the 1980s -- Now for play on your Mac! From INTELLIVISION PRODUCTIONS INC. Mac emulator developed by Stephen Roney ---------------------------------- INTELLIVISION FOR MAC VOLUME 1 features three hit games originally released by Mattel Electronics for the Intellivision video game system. ASTROSMASH, designed by John Sohl, was released in 1981. One of the first one-player games released for the Intellivision, it was an instant success, going on to sell over 1,000,000 copies. Few people knew, however, that there was a second game hidden within the cartridge. Mattel's lawyers feared that this variation of ASTROSMASH was too close to the Atari release Asteroids and might spark a lawsuit. At the last minute, a JUMP instruction was added to bypass the cartridge's menu screen and go directly into the familiar ASTROSMASH game. For the first time, the JUMP instruction has been removed to allow both versions of the game to be played. SKIING, programmed for Mattel Electronics by APh Technological Consultants, was released in 1980. Part of the Sports Network that really established the Intellivision, SKIING is unusual in that 1 to 6 players can compete. UTOPIA, designed by Don Daglow, was released in 1982. Many people today consider that UTOPIA was the first real "sim" game. The instructions for these games can be called up from within the program in a separate window. They are also in three separate read-me files that can be opened outside the program for printing. INTELLIVISION FOR MAC VOLUME 1 features true emulation of the gameplay -- the original code is running on a software version of the General Instruments 1610 processor, the heart of the Intellivision system. All the features of the original game are duplicated exactly, including bugs and Easter eggs. Learn more about Utopia, Astrosmash and Skiing on the official Intellivision website: www.makingit.com/intellivision -1- ---------------------------------- ABOUT INTELLIVISION PRODUCTIONS INC. The original Mattel Electronics Intellivision programmers were called the Blue Sky Rangers. After Mattel Electronics closed in1984, many of the Blue Sky Rangers continued creating new games for INTV Corp., which kept the Intellivision alive through 1990. In June 1995, the Blue Sky Rangers went on-line with a website devoted to the Intellivision. The site features production histories, Easter eggs, trivia, bugs, credits and artwork for all of the original games. But the most frequently asked question the Blue Sky Rangers received was, "When can we play these games again on our PC or Mac?" As a result, Intellivision Productions Inc. was formed. Headed by Blue Sky Rangers, the company acquired the rights to the Intellivision system and games with the intent of releasing them for today's computers. Mac emulator developed by Stephen Roney ---------------------------------- INTELLIVISION FOR MAC VOLUME 2 features three games for the Intellivision video game system. NIGHT STALKER, designed and programmed by Steve Montero, was released by Mattel Electronics in 1982. It was an instant success, going on to sell over 500,000 copies. SPACE SPARTANS was the first game for the Intellivoice speech synthesis module. Primarily designed and programmed by Bill Fisher and Stephen Roney, the game was introduced in 1982. Although the Intellivoice module was not a great success and was discontinued after only five games were released for it, Space Spartans still sold nearly 300,000 copies. DEEP POCKETS -- SUPER PRO POOL & BILLIARDS is making its public debut with this release. The game was commissioned by INTV Corporation from Realtime Associates. It was designed and programmed by Steve Ettinger, with the ball physics programmed by Rick Koenig. INTV Corporation closed due to bankruptcy in 1990, just before the game was scheduled to go into manufacturing. It was the last game completed for the Intellivision system. The instructions for these games can be called up by the program in an Instructions window. They are also in three separate read-me files which can be opened for printing.
