QuickNote © 1997 by John V. Holder All Rights Reserved What is QuickNote? Have you ever needed to jot down a note quickly and be able to easily find it later? Ever wanted to copy a selection of text while web browsing for later reading without copying and pasting between applications or saving the text to a file? QuickNote can do these things and more at the touch of a key (which will instantly bring up a text editor) without having to leave the application you are in! Of course, you'll be able to hit another key at any time that will bring up a list of all your notes, which you can edit, delete, search, replace, print and move from category to category (create as many categories as you like) with ease! QuickNote lets you do all standard text editing including changing fonts, styles, sizes, etc. Another extremely handy feature allows you to select text from any note and have QuickNote automatically paste the text directly into any text document you are working on. Some uses for QuickNote: * bring up a text editor instantly with one keypress! * copy selected text from any application with one key stroke and store it for later reading or editing * keep an on-line journal of daily activities * keep a To Do list * keep commonly used text clippings to be able to paste into any application * use QuickNote to alter text on the clipboard (edit, change it to all uppercase or lowercase, remove line feeds, etc.) * grab a note or selection of text from any category without having to leave the application you're in with a keystroke! * maintain a simple and easy to access address book and phone number list * Collect and organize the information from those scattered text document and clipping files * Want to add on-line help to an application that doesn’t already have it? If an application does not have on-line help but does have help in the form of text files, you can drop those text file(s) into a category folder (see the Categories chapter below) and use QuickNote as on-line help for that application! :-) What comes in the QuickNote package? Your QuickNote package should contain the following files: • QuickNote • QuickNote Documentation • QuickNote - Read Me First! (a SimpleText file) • QuickNote Plugins - (contains plugins for QuickNote) • Registration (open me!) (fill out the registration form with this application) How to install QuickNote: -1- Just drop the “QuickNote” file into the “Control Panels” folder and drop the “QuickNote Plugins” folder into your “System Folder” and restart your Macintosh! After restarting, you should be able to use the “HotKeys” to access QuickNote at any time. The default “HotKeys” are: 1) Command-F13 for a blank note 2) Command-F14 to copy any selected text and paste it into a QuickNote 3) Command-F15 to get/edit any notes you have created. You can change any of the three “HotKeys” by opening the QuickNote control panel (from the Control Panels menu…

QuickSLIP Version 1.1 Program and Music by Robert Chancellor ---------------------------- SHAREWARE NOTICE ---------------------------- QuickSLIP is SHAREWARE. If you use the product and like it, please honor the SHAREWARE agreement by sending $10 to: Robert Chancellor 963 Cedar St. El Segundo, CA. 90245 Your registration will encourage new software products and updates. System Requirements QuickSLIP requires System 7, 8-bit color, and 2 MB of RAM to run. About QuickSLIP QuickSLIP is an arcade-style game where the object is to capture all the coins on each of the 15 levels. Some objects on the screen can be used to bounce your sprite while others will destroy you. Each level has a different strategy, requiring you to adapt to various game styles to complete them. Some levels require fast reflexes, while other will require slow movement and patients to win. About The Game Pieces The following is a list of sprites used in the game. The diamonds are the major enemies in QuickSLIP. They relentlessly bounce around the screen, attempting to interfere with you picking up coins and other goodies. The green diamond is the slowest of the diamonds with the yellow and red folloing in order of speed. These enemies are less often seen than the diamonds, but present more danger since the majority of them move quicker. They should be avoided at all costs. All circular items are things you want to pick up. The yellow circles are coins, the green circles are surprise points, and the blue circles are free lives. The surprise points pices will award a random amount of points when you pick it up. If you feel your score is a little low, try picking up one of these. They can completely change the tide of a game. All enemies will rebound against any of these items. This is a wall. Your player sprite can bounce against these without harm. This is a mine. Touching one of these will destroy your player sprite. Enemies will QuickSLIP User Guide Page 1 Mit, 13. Mai 2009 17:54 Uhr detect the sprite and bounce away from it without harm. This is the exit. Once all coins have been picked up on a level, this symbol will appear somewhere on the screen. You must touch this symbol with your player sprite to advance to the next level. This is your player sprite. Game Controls Below is a list of game controls. HyperSLIP will randomly place you on another part of the screen. You will be placed in a safe zone, that is in an area where there is no enemy. Anamies move quickly however, and can quickly overun your player if you do not act. HyperSLIP requires a great deal of energy from your player. There is approximately a 5 second recovery period following a HyperSLIP when your character must regain energy before attempting another HyperSLIP. You may move during this time, but HyperSLIP will not function. Saving Your Game You may save you…
