What is QuickTime Pro? QuickTime 4 Pro is a suite of software that plays digitized video, audio, and "virtual reality" movies, and lets you edit movies. QuickTime files are called "movies." QuickTime 4 Pro software includes these components: • QuickTime extensions - system software that enables word processors, graphics programs, and other types of applications to play and edit QuickTime movies • QuickTime Player - an application you use to play and edit QuickTime movies • PictureViewer - an application you use to view images. You can drag images from PictureViewer to any QuickTime-compatible application • QuickTime Plugin - software that enables your Web browser to play QuickTime movies Basic and Pro versions of QuickTime The Basic and Pro versions of QuickTime consist of the same components, but with the Pro version you get more features. When you register for the Pro version, you enter a serial number that unlocks Pro features in QuickTime Player. You’ll see new items in the QuickTime Player menu that let you edit and manipulate tracks in QuickTime movies. You’ll see new items in the PictureViewer menu that let you manipulate and export images. Note: In most cases you'll only need to enter a serial number to unlock the Pro features. If you installed a minimal set of QuickTime software, you may also need to download additional software to see all the Pro features that are available. Quicklime 3 Pro Instructions As a special bonus, Terran Interactive has licensed QuickTime 3 Pro for inclusion with Media Cleaner Pro. The QuickTime 3 installer is included on the Media Cleaner Pro 3 CD-ROM in the "QuickTime Pro" folder. To install QuickTime, please follow the installation instructions included in the QuickTime folder. QuickTime"' To unlock your copy of QuickTime Pro, open the "QuickTime Settings" control panel, and choose "Registration" from the pop-up. Press the "Enter Registration ... " button, and enter the "Name" code (MCP-MAC-QT3 ... ) from the bottom of this card in the "Name" field. Enter the "Registration" code from below in the "Registration" field, then press the "OK" button. NOTE: Do not enter your actual name into the ''Name" field - unless you use the "Name" code on the sticker below, the control panel won't accept your serial number. C H A P T E R 1 Setting Up Your Software System requirements for using QuickTime VR Authoring Studio This section describes the hardware and software you need to use QuickTime VR Authoring Studio. Minimum system configuration m Mac OS–based computer with a PowerPC™ processor m 16 MB RAM available for the QuickTime VR Authoring Studio application program m 40 MB of space available on your hard disk m CD-ROM drive If you plan to create complex QTVR scenes or make high-resolution panoramas and object movies, you may need a system that exceeds the minimum requirements. System requirements for playing QTVR media The QTVR media you create with QuickTime VR Authoring Studio can be played on any Mac OS or Windows® computer, either from a local disk or over the Internet using a World Wide Web browser. Mac OS The computer must have a 68030, 68040, or PowerPC processor. In addition, the computer should have the following software installed: m QuickTime extension version 2.5 or later m QuickTime VR extension version 2.0.1 or later m MoviePlayer version 2.5 or SimpleText 1 If you’re playing the QTVR media over the Internet, you also need a World Wide Web browser with the QuickTime plug-in version 2.0 installed. Windows The computer must have a 486 or Pentium processor. In addition, the computer should have the following software installed: m QuickTime for Windows version 3.0 or later m QuickTime VR components version 2.1 or later m MoviePlayer version 3.0 or later If you’re playing the QTVR media over the Internet, you also need a World Wide Web browser with the QuickTime plug-in version 2.0 installed. Quick Instruction: Welcome to Tangram. The objective of this game is to build the shape given on the upper right corner using all seven pieces. 1. Select the hand tool. (Probably it is already selected.) 2. Drag the pieces using the mouse. (Press the mouse button while the point is on a piece, move around the mouse with the mouse button down and release the button when the piece is moved to the desired place.) If you drag the center of the piece, it will be translated without rotating and flipping. If you drag the corner of the piece, it will rotate or flip. Refer to the following picture. 3. (optional) If you want to use the buttons on the right to move the pieces, first selct a piece by clicking on it then click on the arrow buttons to move around. (You may not need to use these buttons since dragging the pieces with the mouse can do the same thing.) 4. (optional) If you need help, click on one of the help buttons. -1- 5. When you think you solve the puzzle, click on the check button. 6. If the solution is correct, it will display the following dialog. Otherwise, nothing will happen. 7. Select 'New' or 'Pick...' menu item under 'Tangram' menu for another puzzle. Please refer to help within the application for more features and detail. That's it. Quick enough? -2-

Image rescue Quick Start Guide Image Recovery - Recovers lost or deleted image files (JPEG, TIFF and RAW), from your memory card, even if you have erased them, reformatted the card, or your card has become corrupted*. <footnote> **Image Recovery is not 100% guaranteed. Card Test - Scans every sector on your memory card and reports any hardware errors found. Repairs any file system errors detected Format Card - Formats and deletes all files on your memory card. If your card is showing an error in your digital device this feature will make the card usable again. Secure Erase - Formats and permanently deletes all files on your memory card. Any file previously stored on your card will no longer be recoverable, not even by Image Rescue. Card Information - Displays the technical specifications of your Memory card. Card Update – Allows you to update the firmware on certain Lexar Media memory cards System Requirements Compatible Operating Systems: Windows2000/XP, Mac OS 10.2 or higher. One Mass Storage Class card reader and one available USB/USB2.0 or FireWire port on your computer to connect the reader, CD-ROM Drive (Retail version only) Available hard drive space equal to twice the capacity of your Memory card. Lexar JumpShot cables can also be used together Lexar USB enabled CompactFlash cards. Getting Started 1. Connect the JumpShot cable or mass storage class reader your computer 2. Insert the Memory card into the JumpShot cable or reader 3. Double-click on the Image Rescue icon to start the software Important Notes * Always insert the card into the reader before launching Image Rescue * Always quit Image Rescue before ejecting or removing your card * Access the Help File in Image Rescue for additional instructions Windows 2000 /XP * Before removing the Memory card from the JumpShot cable, go to the system tray (located on the bottom right corner next to the clock) and right click on the UNPLUG OR EJECT HARDWARE icon. Select the memory card and click STOP, select it again and click OK. It's now safe to remove your card. Macintosh * You must eject your Memory card in the Finder before removing it from the reader. * Do not access the card using the Finder or any program (such as iPhoto) if Image Rescue is running. Quit any program that may access the card. * If the card is not recognized by Mac OS X and the operating system asks to initialize the card, click continue and launch Image Rescue. Installation from a CD (Windows 2000/XP) 1. Close all programs you may have running before you begin the installation 2. Insert the Image Rescue CD into your CD-Rom drive 3. Double-click on the MY COMPUTER icon, CD-ROM drive icon, and then the setup.exe file 4. Follow the on-screen instructions 5. Plug the JumpShot cable into your computer after completing the installation process Installation from a Memory Card 1.
