Dog Cow sent me his copy.
Thanks macgeek and Dog Cow.
Downloading right now, and I'll keep seeding some time afterwards as well!

This is the one I downloaded from apple.com in December of 2008, just so you guys know the source.
It may still be on apple.com (it probably is), but I cannot remember how to access it. It's buried!

It is. An "anonymous" source sent me a link.
Sorry for not seeding...
Dog Cow: if you still have that zip on your machine, could you seed using it? My neighbors WiFi is down, and i am forced to use dial-up. :'(

Stuck at 1.2%… :'(
And through dial-up, I can understand macgeek doesn't want to seed too much!
I'd be more than happy to seed, though!

I don't participate in that sort of thing.Sorry for not seeding...

I can host it. It would be up all the time, but I'm not sure how the speeds would be.
I've stuck my server on it, unlimited seed. I have 3-5 Mbps upload, so once I get it all, I'll let it seed for a good long time. (I've got two other 'long term' seeds going as well.)
However, just to verify, this is a file that came from a 'legal to share' source, correct?

Downloading now. Will stay seeding.
No, not according to Apple's License Agreement. That's probably one of the reasons why the original topic discussing this was removed. However, just to verify, this is a file that came from a 'legal to share' source, correct?
Ah. If it is just the REdistribution that is against the license, but the original software was "freely available" from Apple and it is no longer available direct from them, then I'll risk it under "abandonware" rationalization.
So, someone that has the .zip file that is in this torrent... What exactly is in the zip file, and do you have an MD5 hash for it?
Turns out I had a copy of _ss_691-2491-B.dmg already (D-OH! Guess it helps if I look at my disc images once in a while,) so I need to know if I can just zip that, rename it, and throw it in my share folder to have my torrent client check it and bump me to "100%" so I can seed.
Otherwise, I may just start up a new torrent for it, since I can leave my server on 24/7 seeding.

i sent it to someone, so they can seed. They are still working on decompressing it, though...
Sounds like something useful, but I have no idea how to use/seed that torrent stuff. Can someone explain what I need to do?
Download a program like LimeWire or BitTorrent, then simply open the torrent file with it.Sounds like something useful, but I have no idea how to use/seed that torrent stuff. Can someone explain what I need to do?
Once I download it, I'll post a direct HTTP download link (assuming that it's legal. But then again, torrenting isn't exactly legal either.)
My ISP blocks port 80, and I already have Apache set up on an alternate port on a server. I assume that Apache can serve torrents...?Download a program like LimeWire or BitTorrent, then simply open the torrent file with it.

Where did you get that idea from? There is nothing wrong or illegal with torrenting, at the end of the day all you are doing is exchanging IP packets...., its the specific content that is at issue. But then again, torrenting isn't exactly legal either.

No one seams to be seeding. Im only on 11.91%
The "someone" is actually me, no need to be too much anonymous around here!i sent it to someone, so they can seed. They are still working on decompressing it, though...
Sorry guys, but I'm still stuck with decompressing macgeek's multipart archive. I'm on OS X, and had no luck with StuffitExpander, OS X's built-in zip utility, 7zX and EZ 7z… All say the archive is corrupted. Any suggestion of a magical utility?

Aren't you the guy who tries so hard to recover the defunct swiss site multimac.ch? Now you'll have to learn some french!
Super pants waffle?Actually, i was afraid i'd misspell your username![]()

In french, "pantoufle" is a slipper. I can't remember why I chose this pseudo in the first place, but it was a long, long time ago. Bye the way SP are my initials.
I don't think the whole thing wil be seeded by the end of the day... But no worries, it'l be seeded eventually!
MacGeek, are you the only one with 100%?
I'm the one who gave the file to him, so I have 100% of it.
Would be good if you were seeding Dog Cow. Pleaseeeee.
