It is dirty, yellow and appears to have a near-dead, 250 MB Quantum Pro Drive in it but works well. I't summer time so I'll be giving it a good retrobrite dunk and cleaning it out.

Small conquest today.

LC475 no idea on the RAM and a 80MB Quantum Prodrive ELS. The unit is in pretty good overall condition without even dust.

It also came with keyboard, mouse, software, and a 12x non-Apple CDROM.

This guy owned it since 1995 or thereabouts.

$15 plus 30 minutes travel...not bad.

Can you get really HighRes pics of that PowerCache Mac II Adapter and buzz some connections?

I lost the IIcx Adapter I got for reserch purposes back in the day of the Shreve Systems Blowout. :'(

I'm fairly sure the CoPro was standard in the II, but the MMU was definitely an upgrade, you needed that and the 1.44 Floppy Upgrade ROMs for Mac II Rocketability.

I received a //c monitor from theretrogamingroom today. A quick retrobrite dip on the monitor and my //c will finally be complete!

Those are dang good shots for a phone! That's plenty enough to mull over for a bit. Does that thing plug into both the CPU and MMU Sockets? :?:

The only PowerCache adapter I've found that uses no ICs at all is the one for the LCIII. Noodling out what conversions get done for which slot assignments or CPU pins is a back burner project, as is finding my '030 PDS comparison spreadsheet . . . I know it's on a few of the HDDs scattered about the old systems!

My best High School friend had one of these in '87 and I've loved the look of them ever since.

I researched the shiznit out of the //c, Laser 128, Commodore 128 and the ColeCo Adam as replacements for my Commodore 64 back in the day. Wound up buying a POS Tandy 1000sx with a CGA Monitor and DOS semi-compatibility instead of CPM compatibility. I'm glad I went the way for I did for the OS . . .

Yep.

Yep. Kaypro II. There's a TRS-80 Model III next to it. Both of them came out of a dumpster, believe it or not.

The adapter for the IIcx has no logic on it. Plugs into the 030 socket rather than the PDS.

It frustrates me every time I see the empty B my IIcx adapter came NI from Shreve. :-/

Yesterday, I ended up buying a working 800k, 20MB HDD, 4MB RAM Mac SE, a non-op PowerBook G4 12" 1.5 GHz, a working PowerBook G4 12" 1.33 GHz, a working but slightly bent PowerBook G4 15" 1.25 GHz and a couple of fixable infocus projectors for $65.

Then this morning I found a working SE logic board with 4MB RAM in the trash. Very odd as there was nothing else from the machine in there. As luck would have it, I still have an SE that is the victim of an exploded battery and needs a logic board.

Picked up a couple of barn-fresh G3 iMacs last night. A Lime DV Slot Loader (with DVD daughter card) and a Blueberry 333MHZ tray Loader. Both run, have matching keyboards, mice and are FILTHY!

"DVD daughter card"? Sorry to ask...but are you sure? iMacs decoded DVDs in software (the 400 Mhz G3 plus the Rage 128 had the grunt to do so), not only that, but I can't imagine anywhere where such a beast would connect to the logic board...pics? :O

Only the first-gen DVs had it with the Rage 128 VR. The later Summer 2000s with the Rage 128 Pro could decode MPEG2 on the GPU without the daughtercard. I can take a picture for you tomorrow. I know my Indigo 400MHz has the pads for the connector, but they are unpopulated.

Interesting...I never knew the early iMac DVs had a hardware DVD decoder - I thought that all slot load iMacs decoded DVDs via software.
