I'm GOING TO MWSF!!!

Exhibit day, probably, I'm trying to get there the same day as a friend of mine in Cupertino is

Hope to see ya'll there.

Maybe I'll print a damned MacNN logo on a piece of paper and tape it to the back of my shirt. rofl
is anyone going to the keynote besides me?
if not, i guess we can meet up on Tuesday somewhere on the floor. i've never been to the moscone center, so someone else had better suggest a location. if all else fails, just look for the people with yet to be made MacNN MWSF stickers.

and if you see someone with an official badge that says "Demon in Disguise" as his job title, that's me
1) I am!!!!
2) Monday - Saturday (got to ride Squaw Valley on Sat.!)
3) Y E S!
4) play it by ear
5) uh, yes.
6) Sonds like fun. I'm in.
7) ?
The Mascone Center consists of 2 buildings (North & South). Last year a 3rd building was being constructed but I don't think it's finished yet. Apple's booth is located in the south building. Last year, in the area that I've circled in blue, there was a "ask the mac experts" section. This area had tables and benches along with booths that had iMacs connect to the internet. Anyone could walkup and use these iMacs. This seems like a nice place to meet.

We could decide to meet at Apple's booth since it's the easiest to find but I think it would be way to crowded on Tuesday.

Sounds good to me.

Thursday's a great date.. don't ye think?
Anyone passing through vallejo on the way?
.
I was going Thursday, but now I want to go Tuesday.

Guess I can make a change of plans, HEY, I am going to SF on tuesday anyway!!! *grins happily*

I almost forgot that one too.

Hrm, if all else fails I'll just grab a damned pack of T-shirt paper stuff, and transfer a Macnn logo (big as heck, with a G4 of course), onto the back of one of my shirts.... instant id

Anyone else need this solution? hehe.

I only live a few miles away, I've got to go this time!!!

i'll post the hi-res version (cmyk 300dpi printable) for anybody that wants it as long as that's ok with Albert (it's his design, i just added a few things).

this thread has more on the issue.

if the apple booth is going to be too crowded on tuesday, we can always meet at.....Roxio's booth or something. it's not like people really need a hands on with Toast to know they want it.
Looks like Tuesday is the main day for most people, I will probably be there that day also Thursday it looks like

meeting up @ Apple's booth sounds good, don't forget those of us with cell phones. They can work wonders for finding people

Yes, cell phones work wonders when they have reception . Last year my Cingular phone didn't work down around the exhibits. I don't think Sprint works down there either. However, ATT and Verizon should both work. Heck, my att phone works in the basement of the biggest library on campus, and it's in the Berkeley hills to boot!

Well that sucks ass. OH well, I'll still bring it and hope it works If not just walk outside
1) Who is making the journey this year?
Not me

2) How long you staying?
Something like 0 days 00:00:00

3) This your first expo?
I have gone to every "Apple Expo Paris" when I lived here. It was free, the keynote too.

4) How early are you getting up for the keynote?
Hmm to see the QT broadcast, I think 11h30 ET

5) Is your work paying for it?
.

6) Should we organize a meeting place for all us MacNN geeks to congregate and gawk at one another?
This is surely a good idea ! People that do not want to meet other can simply ignore this. Other will be happy to meet in the Real Reality

7) How does that jello feel?
Like an English based food, with unsane phosphorescent colours and non-natural chemicals drugs in it.

i'm posting this information here so that everyone sees it.

here is the cmyk 300dpi nametag template. many thanks to albertwu.

i printed out two sheets (12 badges) of the nametag on high quality label paper (using a color laser). one for me, one for an admin, one for a mod, and then 9 for you folks. so if you can't bring your own, find the guy with "Demonhood" printed on his nametag and i'll have one for you to fill out.
1) Who is making the journey this year?

I'll be there. I'm one the Apple booth staffers.

2) How long you staying?

Tues - Fri. I live within driving distance.

3) This your first expo?

Second. My first was Macworld Boston 1997.

4) How early are you getting up for the keynote?

It starts at 9 am...hmm. They'll be showing it at work, obviously. I'll probably get up at 7:30 am so I can be at work by 8 am and get a good seat. Caffe Macs fills up quickly.

5) Is your work paying for it?

Yes.
Greetings,

Thanks Demonhood! I don't have a colour printer (I just "upgraded" from a StyleWriter 1200 to a Personal LaserWriter LS) so I'd very much appreciate having one of the badges that you printed up. I'll buy you a drink as thanks. If everyone to whom you give a badge buys you a drink, mind that you don't wander off or you might end up sleeping in a doorway on Mission Street.
not sure if i should be having 11 drinks while at a work related conference, but thanks for the thought Dr.

so you've claimed one. that leaves 8 other "Member" badges. and i assume juan and cheerios will also want one each. that's down to 6. i imagine albert has his own printer, but i haven't asked. any other takers? you don't have to reserve it here or anything. i'll bring them all and pass them out till they're gone. just want to see who'd like one.

you'll have to write your name in individually, mine is the only one pre-printed. it's pretty distinct. but you'll see soon enough.

oh, and let's set a firm time/place for meeting Tuesday. Stogieman suggests meeting in the one true corner of the hall. that's fine by me (see above map). if that fails, try the apple booth. just look for someone a nametag that looks like those above.

noon ok? before? after?
we could always coordinate via cell phones. i happen to have the cell numbers of a few members (don't worry, they gave them willingly), so that might work as well.
