iff Taxi is a Macintosh utility for categorizing object IFF and FAR files for use with The Sims and its various expansion packs. Released in 2004 by Cherie Benoit under the Bangsplat Software banner, it streamlines the otherwise tedious bookkeeping of downloaded custom Sims content.
What It Does
iff Taxi reads the IFF and FAR object files that The Sims uses for furniture, objects, and other downloadable content, and lets the user categorize them so the game and expansion packs recognize and place them correctly.
Registration and Batch Mode
The free version handles single objects, while registered copies unlock batch capability, letting users process large libraries of downloaded objects in minutes rather than hours.
Version 1.8 Notes
Version 1.8 added support for the Magic Town flag used by the Makin' Magic expansion pack, and shipped as a free upgrade for already-registered users.
System Requirements
iff Taxi requires Mac OS X or Mac OS 9 with CarbonLib 1.3.1 or higher, and is distributed as a BinHex archive on the Info-Mac CD-ROM and mirror network.
This file is part of the MacTrove archive. See the Thank You page for the upstream mirrors we rely on. It is BinHex encoded — use The Unarchiver to decode it.
