Dungeon is a fan-made scenario for Wolfenstein 3D on the Macintosh, contributed by Miguel Faria (scooter_31210@yahoo.com). The author's own one-line description sums it up: "A 3 level Wolf prison adventure." It belongs alongside the other community level packs filed under game/com/wolf in the Info-Mac archive.
Scope
The release contains three playable levels arranged as a short prison-escape arc, designed to be dropped into an existing Wolfenstein 3D installation rather than played standalone. Length is brief by scenario-pack standards, suitable for a single sitting.
Built with WolfEdit
Like nearly every entry in the wolf/ directory, Dungeon was assembled with Greg Ewing's WolfEdit, the level editor that powered the Mac Wolfenstein 3D modding community throughout the mid- to late-1990s.
Compatibility
Mac Wolfenstein 3D scenarios from this era typically run against either the shareware Third Encounter release or the full commercial version of the game. The scenario file replaces the stock map data; back up your originals before swapping it in.
Installation
The archive ships as a BinHex-encoded StuffIt bundle. Decode with BinHex 4.0 or StuffIt Expander, place the resulting file in your Wolfenstein 3D folder, and launch the game to load the new maps.
This file is part of the MacTrove archive. See the Thank You page for the upstream mirrors we rely on. It is BinHex encoded — use The Unarchiver to decode it.
