Deathmatch is a third-party 30-level scenario for the Mac edition of Wolfenstein 3D, authored by Miguel Faria and submitted to the Info-Mac archive's Wolfenstein scenarios collection. Per the author's own description it is an easy 30-level Wolf scenario, intended as accessible new content for players who already own the host game.
Scenario format
The package is a Wolfenstein 3D scenario file, the data-only level pack format used by the Mac port of id Software's 1992 first-person shooter to add new maps, art and sound on top of the registered game engine.
What you get
Thirty contiguous levels tuned toward the easy end of the difficulty curve, suitable for casual play or for players new to the Wolf engine who want more maps without the punishing difficulty of the original episodes.
How to play
Decode the BinHex file with StuffIt Expander, drop the resulting scenario into the Scenarios folder beside a registered copy of Wolfenstein 3D for Macintosh, and select it from the in-game scenario picker at launch.
Companion release
The same author distributed a follow-up titled Deathmatch Revisited in the same Info-Mac directory (game/com/wolf/), which iterates on the original level set.
