Pharoah Adolf is a fan-made scenario for Wolfenstein 3D on the Macintosh, distributed via Info-Mac as pharoah-adolf-v2.hqx. The release was uploaded by Jon Wigand (wizbang@ccp.com) as an updated version replacing the earlier Pharoah Adolf scenario file.
What it is
A custom level pack for Wolfenstein 3D, requiring an installed copy of the game to play. Like other Wolfenstein 3D scenarios of the era, it ships as a small map file and is loaded by the host engine rather than running standalone.
Engine and authoring tools
Mac Wolfenstein 3D scenarios from this period were typically built with Greg Ewing's WolfEdit, the community editor that made user-made level packs possible across the Info-Mac wolf collection.
Source and provenance
Distributed through the Info-Mac archive under game/com/wolf/ as pharoah-adolf-v2.hqx, with a brief BinHex header noting only that this file replaces the earlier Pharoah Adolf release; no further metadata accompanied the upload.
