WCII Maps 3.0 is a freeware pack of five custom multiplayer and skirmish maps for Blizzard Entertainment's Warcraft II on the Macintosh, assembled and distributed by gseckel@bigfoot.com. The author pitches the set as material for "a Saturday evening, when you have nothing to do" - or, more honestly, when you would rather just play more Warcraft II.
What's in the pack
The archive bundles five original maps designed by the author, intended to slot directly into the Mac edition of Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness. They cover the standard mix of layouts that the game's map format supports.
Requirements
You need a working installation of Warcraft II on the Macintosh to use the pack; the maps inherit Warcraft II's own system requirements and add nothing beyond them. The pack assumes the Mac release specifically ("is there something else?" the README quips).
License
The maps are released as freeware. The author explicitly grants permission to redistribute, share with friends, and even include them on commercial CD-ROM compilations, asking only for an email from anyone who enjoys them.
Safety check
Per the README, the archive was scanned with Disinfectant 1.7 - the standard Mac antivirus tool of the era - before being uploaded to Info-Mac.
