Blobbo 102 Lite is the free, reduced edition of Glenn Andreas's 1995 Macintosh puzzle game Blobbo, in which the player guides a small round creature around tile-based levels collecting toy chests while dodging an interlocking lattice of traps and pitfalls. The Lite version delivers a sampler set of levels from the full shareware release.
How it plays
Each level is a self-contained logic puzzle: pick up every toy chest without getting crushed, drowned, blown up, or otherwise undone by the level's hazards. Movement is one tile at a time, hazards trigger in predictable ways, and most puzzles reward planning a complete route before committing to the first step.
Lite vs. full
The full Blobbo includes a much larger level set, a built-in level editor, and bundled solutions; the Lite build is a smaller download intended to let prospective registrants try the engine and a representative selection of puzzles before paying for the full version.
Author and era
Glenn Andreas was a prolific Mac shareware author of the System 7 era, also known for tools and games distributed through Info-Mac and similar channels. Blobbo sits squarely in the mid-1990s tradition of small, focused, character-led Macintosh puzzlers.
Running it today
Blobbo 102 Lite is a Classic Mac binary; it runs comfortably under Mini vMac for black-and-white setups or Basilisk II / SheepShaver for color System 7 / Mac OS 8 environments.
