Crazy Car 1.2 is an updated overhead car-racing game for the Power Macintosh by Ben Roughton. The 1.2 revision broadens monitor support, lets the player switch tracks mid-game, and clears up a graphics glitch that had affected machines such as the Power Mac 7200.
Gameplay
The game uses a top-down view of the track, with players steering a car around a course in arcade-style overhead racing fashion. Mid-game track switching keeps individual sessions varied without forcing a restart.
What's New in 1.2
This release runs on any monitor rather than only 640x480, adds the ability to change tracks during play, and addresses a graphics-corruption issue reported on 7200-class Power Macs.
System Requirements
Crazy Car 1.2 requires a Power Macintosh, System 7 or later, and a monitor capable of displaying 256 colors.
Distribution
The game is donation-to-charity ware; comments and donations were directed to the author at his WebFactory address. It was distributed through the Info-Mac game archive.
