Walton's Rampage is a 1999 side-scrolling action game for the classic Mac, written by Gib Foltz and released under the Epic Banana label. Players take on the role of a perturbed Walton and hack and slash their way through waves of enemies using the character's deadly sword-handling skills across a short, focused adventure.
Side-Scrolling Hack and Slash
Combat is built around close-range sword strikes as Walton moves through linear stages. The pace favors quick reactions and crowd control over puzzle solving or exploration.
Epic Banana Pedigree
Epic Banana was a small late-1990s Mac shareware label known for short, sharply themed action titles. Walton's Rampage fits squarely in that catalogue of compact, character-driven games.
Late-Era Classic Mac Release
Arriving in 1999, the game targets the tail end of the classic Mac OS lifecycle, when shareware action titles were still being authored for System 7 through Mac OS 9 machines.
