Majora 1.1b is a Macintosh arcade game released in August 1995 by Miguel Frias, archived under the arcade section of the Info-Mac collection. The release notice that accompanied this build was emphatic: an earlier version uploaded to the archive was wrong, and 1.1b is the corrected one to use.
Release
The 1.1b build is dated 16 August 1995 and was distributed by the author from Lisbon. The accompanying note in the Info-Mac archive consists chiefly of the correction notice and the author's contact addresses.
Where It Lives
Majora ships in the Info-Mac archive at game/arc/majora-11b.hqx, the directory the maintainers used for arcade-style titles, and arrives BinHex-encoded for safe transit through the era's mail and FTP gateways.
Author
Miguel Frias listed himself with academic e-mail at the Instituto Superior Tecnico in Lisbon and an additional mac@pobox.com address. Beyond Majora itself, no further author commentary accompanied the upload.
Notes
The Info-Mac abstract for this title is unusually terse, so descriptions of the gameplay should be taken from the game itself rather than from secondary text. The header shipped with the BinHex file is the most authoritative period record of the release.
