It runs on the background and it uses some undocumented apple events to find out position, direction, altitude and speed of aircraft. Using this information FS-ATC sends messages to the pilot using Speech Manager or displays them as text. FS-ATC 3.0 contains internal databases for VORs, center locations, and a selection of airports. This version introduces fully automatic air traffic control from gate of pilot chosen departure airport to the gate of destination airport. Controller files used in earlier versions of FS-ATC are still supported.
