CoDi-1 is an addition to the DeskBots family of desktop companions for the classic Mac OS, and the first DeskBot to offer genuine functionality beyond chatter. Distributed as a free add-on for registered DeskBots users, it requires the main DeskBots 1.6 application to load this personality.
What it does
CoDi behaves like the other DeskBots, popping up to deliver a stream of wisecracks and one-liners, but doubles as a no-frills audio CD player with play, pause, stop, next track, previous track, and eject buttons.
Interface
The personality ships with a completely new interface compared to earlier DeskBots, plus a fresh batch of phrases. CoDi is also smart enough to keep quiet while you're actually listening to a CD, so the chatter does not stomp on the music.
Requirements
Requires the DeskBots 1.6 host application from Black Magik Software. CoDi-1 is a free download for users who have already registered DeskBots.
