Hockey 2.3 is a 2-on-2 hockey game for the Macintosh. Players choose from five color-coded teams - Blue, Red, Purple, Silver, and Green - and face the computer or another human at the keyboard, with player ratings either set manually or generated automatically within a configurable team rating cap.
Teams and roster
The five teams are distinguished only by color. Before each match the game enforces a per-team ratings ceiling; the human player makes any choices about how to distribute that budget across skaters.
Game options
Period length is configured in minutes. A demo mode is provided in which the computer fills in every option automatically, useful as an attract loop or for previewing the action.
Modes of play
The game supports single-player versus the computer and two-player hot-seat matches on a single Mac. There is no networked play described in the bundled notes.
