Solitaire Till Dawn is Rick Holzgrafe's premier Macintosh solitaire collection, published as shareware by Semicolon Software starting in 1994. Version 3.4 ships with more than 30 games, ranging from familiar classics like Klondike, Canfield, FreeCell, Golf, Spider, and The Towers to exotic and 'skullcracker' deals.
The collection
The 3.4 build offers over 30 distinct solitaire variants spanning child-simple layouts to demanding strategic deals. Version 3.4 specifically adds an auto-save feature and the new Mount Sunflower variant created by Randy Rasa. Later versions (4.0.1) expand the catalogue to roughly 40 games.
Card Shark features
The package's signature 'Card Shark' options include smart cards, early win detection, and an Am-I-Stuck advisor. Standard quality-of-life touches include unlimited undo and redo, multiple card sizes, alternate cardbacks, and customisable window backgrounds.
Reception and platform
The game was rated 'Freakin' Awesome!' by MacAddict magazine and listed in their Top 50 Shareware Programs. It requires System 7.0 or later and runs on any Macintosh of the era.
