Sm Gunshy is a Classic Mac item preserved from the funet/Info-Mac mirror, recovered from its BinHex header. The name suggests a variant or small build of the well-known Mac shareware game GunShy by E.C. Horvath, but the precise relationship has not been independently confirmed.
About GunShy
The original GunShy (1987, E.C. Horvath) is a tile-matching solitaire in the Shanghai/Mah Jong tradition. Several themed editions circulated in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Whether this file is one such variant is unverified.
Distribution
The archive was carried on funet pub/mac and the Info-Mac mirror network. Like its peers, it was distributed as a BinHex-encoded StuffIt archive targeting 68k Macs.
Running it today
Decode with StuffIt Expander and run under Mini vMac (System 6 or 7) or Basilisk II. Earlier 1-bit Mac displays are recommended for the most authentic look.
