A Simple Grass Simulator (ASGS) is a 1999 freeware curio by Sebastian Brytting that does exactly what its name promises: it simulates grass. A cow wanders the field eating it, with flowers, pumpkins, and the occasional alien thrown in. The author bills it as a meditation program suitable for hours of idle viewing.
Concept
An ambient, screensaver-adjacent toy: a 640x480 color field of grass that grows, gets grazed by a cow, and is interrupted by flowers, pumpkins, and aliens. There is no goal -- you watch.
Author
Sebastian Brytting (zorkar@yahoo.com), 1999. The author asks only that you mention his name when you mention the application.
System Requirements
System 7.0 through Mac OS 9 on 68k Macintoshes; requires a 640x480 color monitor.
Distribution
Freeware. Available on Info-Mac as asgs.hqx and mirrored at Macintosh Garden.
