Gm Lite

GM Lite is a restricted, lightweight edition of the Game Maker authoring system for the Classic Mac OS, distributed as shareware for hobbyists who wanted to experiment with building their own games without paying for the full toolset. It carries the same core engine concepts as Game Maker for Mac, in a stripped-down form.

Purpose

The Lite build lets users assemble small playable projects using the Game Maker runtime, while withholding the more advanced authoring features reserved for the registered version.

GM Lite belongs to the Game Maker for Mac family - a Classic-era toolkit referenced on Macintosh Garden's Game Maker entry as the source of the Lite variant.
