SimTower CHEAT is a freeware companion utility by Gilles Lacarriere that lets owners of Maxis's SimTower bend the rules of vertical empire-building. Point it at a saved tower and you can hand yourself up to a five-star rating, rewrite the population parameter, or swell the budget by an absurd margin.
What it does
The application opens an existing SimTower save and exposes three knobs: star rating (up to five), tower population, and cash on hand. Adjustments are written back into the save file rather than injected at runtime, so SimTower itself never has to be patched.
Money, in $100 chunks
Because SimTower internally tracks money in $100 increments, the cheat rounds odd values to the nearest hundred. The author notes that $1250 will land as $1300 once the save is reopened.
How big is "appreciably"?
The author's own description sets the upper limit at roughly one billion dollars of operating budget, well past anything the base game's economy ever asks you to raise on your own.

SimTower CHEAT 3.5i shipped as freeware over Info-Mac in an international build, with the author soliciting comments and bug reports by email.
