Very Nice, you are the master. (bow) :approve:

Nice! Those C2Ex processors are still very expensive from a search online, upwards of $500, so $50 is a steal! 8-o
I've seen a lot of those First Aluminum iMacs at the Apple Store recently. I wonder what's going on with them...

Northbridge BGA failures, I believe. I have half a mind to send my old board to Techknight for inspection. I'll probably just ebay it as broken, though.
The X7900s go for $100-$150 on eBay curremtly.

Oh, how lovely.Northbridge BGA failures, I believe.
I like sitting at the Genius Bar to see what come through. I've also seen a lot of the white plastic iMacs, either G5s or early Intels in there for a data transfer to a new computer. I felt like making an offer on one today, a 17". Every time I'm there I see at least 2 for whatever odd reason. I've also seen a TiBook for an OS reinstall before the store moved to its new location, and an AlBook today.
My wife alerted me to a "free mac computer" on craigslist today.
Turned out to be a Ruby 450MHz iMac DV+. It needs some deep cleaning but should come about nicely.

Has she got a single, older sister like that?My wife alerted me to a "free mac computer" on craigslist today.

Dang I can never find the ruby ones. Good job. Trying to get a set of all the colors only about half way kinda.
I can't quite tell if this one is yellowed on one side from sitting by a window or if that's the side the ashtray was on. Either way, I'll need to wait for some sun to bleach it out with.
Again another great grab by the master!
I'll have to snap a few pics pater but my latest conquest has both a Motorola 68000 and a 65C02 in it. Any guesses?
Hmm... that doesn't sound like a regular Mac.
I don't really have any guesses, unfortunately.

I suspect something in larger scale of housing
mcdermd - how will you go about "cleaning" the yellowed iMac G3 case?
I have a friend with a Flower Power which is yellowed on one side and I've got a Bondi with a yellowed CRT bezel so very keen to know of any tricks!

I'll end up retrobriting it when the sun comes out reliably. It works okay on the clear plastics also.
Oh ok, cool thanks.
Don't think that's a good idea for the flower power (being a printed pattern) but will keep it in mind for the clear plain plastics.
Love the Ruby iMacs. Only colour I'm missing now!!
Hope to see pics once you've cleaned it up. That's always a big part of the enjoyment for me!

There's a faded flower power on eBay right now.
What,
all I see is an Apple sticker on the back of your crotch rocket
My issue was that my mind was stuck in the Apple RUT

Awesome "conquest" !!
You gonna restore that Bad Dudez, or MAME it?
If you think there's hack whining in this hobby, go to the boards at http://forums.arcade-museum.com and ask about changing your upright cab into a MAME machine!
The good folks at http://www.BYOAC.com might be a little more helpful either way, but especially if MAME's your game.
Look like its in good shape!

I wanted it original. There's just some monitor issues to work out - everything else is working fine.
BUT ... I haven't looked into this too much but it's a JAMMA board so all of the power, input video are a standard. I'm pretty sure that there's a JAMMA harness that people use for MAME cabinets. So I think I could make it a Bad Dudes/MAME box without any surgery - simply put a PC inside and swap the JAMMA harness between the original board and the MAME machine. I may look into it. I dunno.

You know your gonna leave it alone.
http://www.ultimarc.com/jpac.html is my favorite. All the ultimarc products rock, and there may be some hints of things there that could be useful to this hobby.I'm pretty sure that there's a JAMMA harness that people use for MAME cabinets. Monitor issues are worked out. I'll probably just replace all the capacitors here pretty soon but replacing two seems to have done the trick. Time to move it inside and order the proper color buttons and joysticks.
Thanks, MinerAl. ulitmarc looks like they have pretty much everything I need. My wife is already bugging me to look for a different cabinet so maybe I'll make this Bad Dudes cab switchable and pick up a steering wheel game (Spy Hunter? I'd love it!).

Very nice job! Wonder what's on those EPROMS.
