The "stackable" memory like the Duo? Yeah, as I recall it has the bottom one with a tall riser and a second stacked on top. I'll refresh my memory when I'm back at the office tomorrow.
Not sure if you tried this already, but always worth a shot to try and power it up with no battery in it. I bought a "dead" PB 170 for cheap that turned out to work great once the battery was out.

Yeah, I tried no battery first thing. I think it's dead. I'll give it a round of looking for a problem first. The fuse looked good.
The goodies in that pic are worth their weight in really good stuff, that's the hard part.

The RAM adapter slot is the same as the Duo's, but I've never seen that two level upgrade on anything but the 1400 Memory Cards.
What you have there looks like it might be factory stock. Apple part#s or © on the cards? I wonder if, with and without the daughtercard, the memory config works out to be the two (?) upgrade option levels available?

No bracket, just a standoff that the lower case screw passes through. The riser looks Apple - "JEDI MEMORY B.D". The cards are Kingston - KTA-D230/14 (Kingston, Duo 230 14 MB?).

I went to a ham fair swap meet today and couldn't resist grabbing a $10 PowerBook 180 with extra batteries (PowerPlate), all install disks, car charger and assorted software (CPU and RAM Doubler, Connectix PB Tools). I'm leaving the $75 Laser 128 where it is, though.

Picked up a PowerBook Duo 280c from craigslist. I've been needling the seller for a few months and he finally accepted my $25 offer. He threw in a Duo floppy adapter in box, USB Pro keyboard, 1.44 MB floppy drive and the keypad for an adjustable ADB keyboard. The Duo looks and works great

I had a few picks this week
Fist up is a first-gen, 20", aluminum-and-glass iMac. It has either a bad PSU (I hope) or a bad logic board. It's throwing bad readings off the PSU so fingers crossed
I also got delivery of a box of goodies I worked out a few months ago. Some 2MB FDDs, an 80MB 50-pin SCSI drive, a 2.5" SCSI to 3.5" SCSI adapter, A couple of mouses, System 7.1 install disks, Powerbook 500 series disks, an Extended II and an Apple Design keyboard, Mac II high resolution display card, 12" NuBus network card, various cables, complete MS Office 4.2 for Mac box, TurboCad in the box. There's also an "Apple External Video Adapter" (820-0656). I figure it goes to an AIO but no ideal beyond that. Can anyone fill in the blanks?

Picked up an iBook G4 14" 1.33ghz model. Base unit with a dead battery and a loose PSU, however I had a 512MB stick, spare battery pulled from a dead iBook G3 14" and a spare PSU.
Although it has stickers on it and quite marked, it works great!
Paid $20, which for any working laptop, is reasonable.

I managed to get it running with a new logic board. I also happened to find a 2.8 GHz Core 2 Extreme (X7900) processor for $50. Installing that has made a pretty big difference. It's started it's new job as my new daily driver at work.
