Munchkinstein is one of the deluxe scenarios in the Laz Rojas Wolfenstein 3D Scenarios collection for the Macintosh, a long-running set of fan-built level packs that ran on the MacPlay port of id Software's first-person shooter. This demo showcases the scenario's maps and art before the full release.
Scenario lineage
The Munchkinstein demo ships as part of Laz Rojas' larger archive of Wolfenstein 3D scenarios for the Mac, a body of work distributed throughout the mid-1990s alongside titles like Astrostein, Totengraeber and Project: Amerika.
What the demo includes
As a pre-release sampler, the package contains a limited subset of the full scenario's levels, intended to demonstrate the new graphics, sound and map design rather than provide the complete campaign.
How it runs
The scenarios load into MacPlay's Mac port of Wolfenstein 3D; the engine and binary remain id's, with Rojas supplying replacement art, audio, and level data.
