This Info-Mac upload is the official Mac IndyCar Racing II updater, taking the original 1.0.0 release to 1.0.1. It was posted by John Oldfield (oldfield@westporteng.com) with permission from Sierra tech support, and ships as indy-car-racing-ii-101-updt.hqx under game/com/.
How the patch works
The patch creates a new IndyCar Racing II 1.0.1 application and places it in the folder containing the existing IndyCar Racing II data, while also updating a data file named OBJS.DAT. The original install must be present on disk for the updater to run.
Bug fixes called out in the readme
The release adds direct support for the Mac T2 Steering Wheel/Pedals controller, fixes a cosmetic problem in the car sets dialog when car sets were duplicated, makes the program unlock the modem configurations file when opening it for display in the Communications dialog, and addresses a crash bug at ovals during multiplayer qualifying.

IndyCar Racing II is the fourth Papyrus racing simulation and a sequel to the 1993 IndyCar Racing, published on the Mac by Sierra in 1996; this updater targets that Mac release specifically.
