Total War Scenarios is a fan-built scenario pack assembled by Louis Moreau (moreau@ccrs.emr.ca) for SSG's Battlefront-engine strategy games, distributed through the Info-Mac commercial-game add-on collection. The archive bundles ten custom scenarios in a single download, aimed at owners of SSG's commercial Mac titles.
What's included
The pack contains nine custom scenarios for the Battlefront system, the engine SSG re-released on the Total War CD compilation, plus one additional scenario for Decisive Battles of the American Civil War, also by SSG. All ten run on the unmodified retail engines.
Display support
Every scenario is built and tested in 256-color mode; several are additionally provided in black and white versions, making them playable on older monochrome Mac hardware that lacked a color video card.
Required engines
Total War Scenarios is data only - no engine is included. Players need a legitimate copy of an SSG Battlefront-system game (Carriers at War, Warlords, the Total War CD, or similar) or Decisive Battles of the American Civil War to load the included files.
Distribution
Posted to Info-Mac under game/com (commercial add-ons), the BinHex 4.0 archive is a community contribution rather than an official SSG release.
