This release is the version 1.7.1 incremental updater for Fantasoft's Scenario Maker, the official authoring tool that lets Realmz players design their own dungeons, towns, monsters, and storylines for the long-running Mac RPG first published in 1994.
What Scenario Maker is
Scenario Maker is the companion editor to Realmz, exposing the same data structures the retail scenarios use so that hobbyist designers can produce fully playable adventure modules distributed alongside the base engine.
What 1.7.1 changes
The 1.7.1 patch brings an existing Scenario Maker install up to the revision matched by contemporary Realmz engine builds, keeping editor file formats, monster records, and spell tables in sync with the runtime.
Why the version match matters
Realmz is strict about scenario format compatibility; running a scenario authored in a newer editor against an older engine, or vice versa, can corrupt save files, so updaters like this one were the canonical way to stay current.
Installation notes
Apply the updater on top of a prior 1.7.x Scenario Maker install. Keep a backup of in-progress scenarios before patching, since saved work uses the same on-disk format the editor is being updated to manage.
