HarryCheater 1.0 is a small third-party utility that edits saved game files for Ambrosia Software's Harry the Handsome Executive. Described by its author (al@ucsd.edu) as "a quick and dirty hack," the tool accepts dragged-and-dropped save files and exposes their values for tweaking, letting players adjust progression without replaying levels.
What it edits
The application is purely a save-file editor: drop a Harry save onto the icon, change values in the resulting interface, and save. The author noted plans to clean up the UI and add features such as re-enabling the in-level copy machines, but the released version is intentionally minimal.
About Harry the Handsome Executive
Harry, designed by Ben Spees and published by Ambrosia in 1997, is a swivel-chair action game set inside the corporate halls of ScumCo. Players kick and scoot through offices, dodge dart-throwing middle managers and rebellious customer-service drones, and wield explosive soda cans and an industrial stapler. HarryCheater latches onto that game's save format.
Distribution
The cheater was posted to Info-Mac as harry-cheater-10.hqx and is preserved alongside the original game in the Classic Mac archive.
Use at your own risk
As an unofficial save editor, HarryCheater has no association with Ambrosia Software. Back up your saves before editing.
