Small Game is a classic Macintosh shareware title preserved in the wider Mac archive. As the name suggests, it belongs to the long tradition of compact, single-purpose Mac programs that fit on a floppy and were traded through user groups, bulletin boards, and shareware compilations during the System 6 through Mac OS 9 era.
Classic Mac shareware
Programs like this were almost always the work of individual hobbyist developers, distributed as downloadable archives and supported by modest shareware fees paid voluntarily by players who kept the game in regular rotation.
Preservation status
The download is mirrored here for historical and preservation purposes. Detailed metadata such as author, release year, and gameplay specifics is limited in surviving sources, and community-contributed corrections are welcome.
Running it today
The original was built for the black-and-white and early color Macs of its day; on modern hardware it can be run under emulators such as Mini vMac, Basilisk II, or SheepShaver, depending on which classic Mac OS version it targets.
