Missile Math is a freeware educational arcade game in which flying number-snakes invade the skies and the player, stationed at Launch Control, must shoot them down. Each snake has a vulnerable place value; hit that digit with a missile and the snake is destroyed.
Gameplay
Promotion brings responsibility for more launchers, more powerful missiles, and progressively tougher waves of numeric foes, blending arcade reflexes with place-value drill.
Educational hook
The vulnerable place value varies from snake to snake, forcing players to read multi-digit numbers under pressure rather than memorize patterns.
Requirements
System 7.x, a 640 x 480 color or grayscale display, and 1.5 MB of free RAM. 256 colors and a 33 MHz 68040 are recommended for smooth play.
Distribution
Released as Freeware by jobe@blis.uthscsa.edu and permitted in shareware collections provided the included documentation accompanies it.
