Poly-Kin is the Puyo Puyo-style entry in Daxeria's Poly-Series collection of Macintosh puzzle games, posted to Macintosh Garden in February 2016. Falling pairs of colored blobs drop into a well, and matching four or more of a kind clears them and rains garbage on your opponent.
Part of the Poly-Series
The Poly-Series gathers several puzzle variants under a single banner, including Columns, Polybrid (a Tetris and Columns hybrid), Poly-Tile (a Tesserae take), and Poly-Peg. Poly-Kin is the chain-reaction member of that family.
Chain Reactions
As in Puyo Puyo, the real depth comes from setting up cascades. A single well-placed pair can trigger multi-step combos that bury an opponent under garbage blobs.
Classic Mac Puzzle Comfort
The presentation is unmistakably classic Mac, sized and styled for the era's small color displays and well suited to short, repeated play sessions.
