Sindler's List 1.0.4 is a tongue-in-cheek personal-grudge tracker by LFO Works of Slovakia. The name parodies Schindler's List, but the application itself is a small, easy-to-use database for keeping a private record of "people who make you sick" -- a comedy take on personal-information software.
What it does
The app lets you build a simple database of "main enemies and most unfriendly people" and annotate them in a deliberately humorous way. The tagline -- "Make your vengeance to your enemies with style - write them in Sindler's List!" -- captures the joke: the program is a working address-book-style tool, but framed as a vengeance ledger rather than a contacts list.
Author and distribution
The publisher is LFO Works (lfo@pobox.sk / lfo@kagi.com), a small Slovak shareware outfit with a software page at www.lfo.sk/software/. The 1.0.4 release was distributed through Info-Mac as sindlers-list-104.hqx and registered through Kagi, the standard small-developer payment broker of the late-1990s Mac shareware scene.
Genre note
Despite its slug being grouped with games, Sindler's List is a novelty productivity utility -- closer in spirit to joke desk accessories like Talking Moose than to an adventure or arcade title.
